As we begin the 2009-2010 school year, it is again my privilege to welcome back all former & all new students to King George Public School. For those that have been here before, you know how proud we are of our school. For those that are new, welcome to what many call Chatham’s Best Kept Secret. There are many different thoughts on what makes King George the unique place that it is. But to me, it’s not really that complicated. We are fortunate to have three groups with a common goal: Our students, our Staff, and our Parent community. When those three are working together, “the sky is the limit”. This year our student population has already surpassed 300+ students. That is something that hasn’t been the case for King George in many, many years. I look forward to even more growth, as we continue the course we have set. Every year I have tried to capture pictures of different students at K.G., to include in my welcome, so this year is no different. |
Pictured with me is young Owen Kalp age 3, who was top dog for the day, and “Top Dog” sitting on my seat. Welcome to Owen, and all the other 34 JK’s new to our school. We look forward to the next ten years together at King George. R. MacFarlane, Principal September 10, 2009 |
